Volunteers

Finding people whose skills are consider niche and specialized in the field of genetic genealogy has taken a great deal of effort. What started as a small group of fewer than five people has become became a juggernaut of over four hundred volunteers, who have given thousands of hours to helping individuals interpret their DNA results and reverse engineer the complex puzzle surrounding their biological identities.

The effort combined the power of social networking, Google grants, search engine optimization, and much time put into recruiting and vetting prospective individuals seeking to make that big difference in people’s lives. This is a constantly changing and evolving process that still requires a great deal of attention a decade after it was started.
